Mike was a passionate sports enthusiast.

He played tennis and football, practiced gymnastics, skated, and cycled. He believed that life was all about movement.

From the memoirs of his friend Yurii Smolych, we know that Mike had a spacious room, and its only “decoration” was a hand-carved double-bladed paddle for a kayak.
